Sandra Foreman

Sandra Foreman is the Compassionate Austin Self-Care Activist!  She began her leadership role in May, 2019.  For more information about self-care activism and the activities described below, contact Sandra by email at sandra@thespainme.com or by phone 512-924-6563.

She is a wife, mother, and lawyer and has practiced law in
Texas since February 1996, with a focus on health and disability law.
She is also certified to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for
Veterans Claims.

After practicing law for a number of years, she started to
experience burnout and fatigue. She sought new meaning in her life and began changing her lifestyle in order to better manage her stress.

She discovered interests outside of work. She found that the activities she
enjoyed the most were those that helped her to slow down, quiet her
mind, and spend time outdoors.

After years of deep soul searching and self-discovery, Sandra determined
that her new purpose in life is to help other women acknowledge their
worth in making self-care an ongoing practice as opposed to an
occasional indulgence.

She has founded The Spa in Me, LLC, which offers coaching and and annual retreats to help women find the self-care strategies that work best for them in the settings that impact their lives.

The Rest, Reset, and Restore Retreat offers women the opportunity to find
peace and joy in the midst of a stressed, chaotic life, inspiring women
to find self-care tools to unwind and to love themselves first. The goal
is to create compassionate communities where attendees connect with
themselves and other women, refresh their spirit, eat nourishing foods,
and, most importantly, have fun!

She started The Spa In Me Podcast. Here is a link to the first episode: http://meetu.ps/c/4dF0Y/HHrL2/f.  Through this podcast, she intends to provide valuable interviews with individuals about spas, health, wellness, compassion, and kindness.

She has also organized the Silent Book Club -Cedar Park Chapter.  At the book club meetups, there is time to socialize and read silently for one hour.  It’s a time for women to indulge in self-care by simply reading and relaxing.

Sandra has her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from the
University of Texas at Austin. She received a Doctor of Jurisprudence
from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University, in
Cleveland, Texas and a Masters of Laws in Health Law at the University of Houston Law Center.  She obtained her yoga teacher certification from Yoga Yoga, in Austin, Texas and has won awards in fitness and body-building.  She has also completed a health coaching certification program through the Health Coaching Institute.
